From the desk of K. Cooper Ray
Thank you for your interest in Last Night at Moomba. As I was cleaning out the studio I found these copies of Act 1 which were originally intended to be sent to publishers & press. Since the book is now available in full (all 3 acts) these copies are extra. I am giving these away to interested readers.
The full novel – while available on Amazon now – is not complete. I have added a prologue, which is inserted here, as well as made some other edits. I hope to have that edition ready before summer’s end.
I hope you’ll enjoy Moomba. Act 1 is mostly character introductions and the action doesn’t get rolling until Act 2. I do hope you’ll find enough to like in Act 1 that you’ll return for Act 2 & 3.
Act 1 (of 3) novel of Manhattan's high society by K. Cooper Ray.
"K. Cooper Ray has really hit the nail on the head with this witty little tome. The whole thing reminds me of watching a Whit Stillman film, quite fun and cleverly nuanced. The main character is intriguing and his misadventurer give credence to the author's knowledge of the New York social scene. I love that David Patrick Columbia of the New York Social Diary appears as recurring character at the various fetes described. I can't wait to see where this thing goes, so, please, Mr. Ray, don't keep us waiting too long!
BE SURE TO SAY TO WHOM YOU WOULD LIKE THE BOOK INSCRIBED TO IN THE NOTES AT CHECKOUT.
