05/27/2010 – As some of you may know, SP has a deep deep love for the Holy City. So much so that when I came here this past Spring to work on the book, I’ve decided to stay. Yes, I am moving the SP operation to Charleston, SC. So, yes, while the Charleston party was the second stop on the Brooks Brothers bow tie launch tour, this event felt like a welcome to town party. First, I was hosted by one of my favorite families, The Hangers. They are not only old friends, but are my house guest hosts as well. The Hangers pulled together their friends and boy, did their friends show up in force. From the youngest Hanger (14 years old) to the oldest (that wouldn’t be polite to say the age), the family brought out all the ages in all their finery. And not just content to stop at that, they enlisted two of their college friends, John McCrady Williams and Buster Brown who brought out their gang. Add in one of the best shag bands around — The Fat Jack Band — and bartenders pouring Southsides and Madras drinks, it was definitely one for the record books. The photos will tell the rest of the story.
And the bow tie tour rolls on. New Orleans and then Beverly Hills. The ties were selling out on www.brooksbrothers.com, but they’ve restocked to meet demand. If you haven’t gotten yours yet, what are you waiting for? These are limited edition and will soon be gone.

Charleston…the only good thing South Carolina has to offer.
Charleston is heaven, but there’s also Folly Beach, Sullivan’s Island, Edisto, Kiawa, Beaufort, the list goes on.

I missed it
I was busy moving all my stuff FROM Charleston, because while you are on your way in, I am on my way out. Not too far though.
Congrats on all the success.
Adam.
