Roadie2

SP has written, on many an occasion, of his love for the Go Cup, or Roadie to some. It is the essential partner to any aspiring bon vivant. What do you think makes us so social and eager to meet you? Booze, baby. And where do you keep that booze? In a Go Cup. And heretofore the roadie of choice has always been, and will remain, the classic red Solo cup. This icon will never be replaced in roadie lore, so embrace it, love it, sport it with pride. But, on the occasion when you want to feel a little more fancy, or just need that personal touch when a sharpie scrawled on the solo won’t do  (Hey, people will snag your cup.) let me present for your consideration my new favorite thing.

Here is SP’s latest, and I dare say greatest, discovery. The monogrammed roadie. What in the world could be better? These cups are the perfect weight, I like the color, they are indestructible and dishwasher safe (so Green!) and way way cool with your own monogram. I am bully bull bull on these cups. Check them out on the shop page.

SP does NOT Recommend Drinking and driving. Be a man and know your limits. That said, I have, on occasion, been nursing the perfect scotch and was loathe to leave it. An infant’s sippy cup works well here when you absolutely, positively must take your drink in the car, while someone else is driving, of course. You won’t spill and it is not detectable by law enforcement. Oh yeah, and a word about those coffee go cups with the tops you can buy at the grocery store. Those are excellent for walking about town, like at a tailgate, festival or fair. Nobody suspects those.

I am sure I’ll take a beating for this post, but hey, a man should be well-rounded. It’s not all dress up, hold your fork correctly, read Dostoevsky and attend the ballet. Sometimes we break loose and raise a little hell. Next up, SP’s favorite punk bands.

Man, I don’t know your name…but the roadie post was awesome! Nice to see that you can break loose a bit, when necessary.

  2. Don’t you love the “Midnight In the Garden of Good and Evil” scene where the lead character is given his first “go-cup”? Not as stylish as these, of course.
