Add as you please: cucumber stick, slice of apple, lemon and/or orange slices, or strawberries, and don't forget a sprig of mint! Not as potent as the julep, but oh, it's heavenly! Those appear to be cheese straws accompanying the juleps in the picture that you used. The perfect southern snack to go along with the juleps, in my opinion (though I'm not quite sure how good they are at soaking up the booze).
